Uniform

We want all children who come to our school to feel a sense of identity and belonging. We feel our uniform policy should reflect the high standards we expect of children and the high standards we achieve across the school.

Uniform Requirements

St John’s green sweatshirt or cardigan with the school logo (purchased from PMG Schoolwear)

White polo top

Grey school style trousers, shorts, skirt, pinafore dress

(where girls prefer to wear trousers, these must be grey and regular fitting or boot cut in style (leggings or skinny fit trousers are not permitted)

Grey socks, bottle green or grey tights (white socks may be worn with dresses and skirts)

Hair accessories must be dark green or white.

Summer uniform (Easter to October half term – Bottle green polo tops may be worn, grey shorts, green and white check summer dresses, white socks in summer are permitted with skirts or dresses.

Footwear
Children are required to wear black school style shoes.

In addition, children may bring an old pair of trainers/outdoor shoes to help protect their smart shoes whilst playing outside at break times.

Optional Items
St John’s fleece (for outside use only – not to be used as a substitute for a sweatshirt or cardigan), waterproof jacket, book bag, PE bag, rucksack and hat.

P.E. Requirements
Black shorts
Plain white T-shirt
Trainers or plimsolls
In the winter months children should have black tracksuit bottoms/leggings and a grey or black sweatshirt in school for outside P.E. lessons.
Children’s P.E. kit should be in school at all times and be kept in a P.E. bag.

Ordering Uniform
All items of uniform can be purchased from the PMG Schoolwear website, over the telephone (08004046644) or by visiting the shop in Faringdon.

With the exception of the St John’s sweatshirts and cardigans which are compulsory and can only be ordered from PMG Schoolwear, all other items can be purchased from a range of high street stores and supermarkets.
