Caring for Others ✝ Achieving Excellence
PE & Sport Premium is funding provided to primary schools to enhance the provision of PE and sport. The Prime Minister, David Cameron, has committed to keeping the Primary PE and Sport Premium until 2020. Funding is calculated at £8000 plus £5.00 per pupil. It is for schools to decide how the PE and Sport funding is spent, since they are best placed to assess what additional provision should be made to enhance the provision for PE in school. Schools are held accountable for how they have used the additional funding. In 2017 the government doubled the sports funding.
Principles for allocating the funding
To ensure that our PE & Sport Premium is spent in the most effective ways the following principles have been agreed:
|'I love PE, we get to play lots of different sports and compete with other schools.' Year 5 Pupil|
